Water Falls

Living in the desert, I do not get many of these even hough they make some of the single best subjects that you can have. Their weak-spot is, though, that they make great subjects for scenics and as a result are an overdone motif. They are still pretty, however, and I like them.

This is a selection of all the images that feature a water fall somewhere in the composition. You will notice, I hope, a progression of worse to better as I got better at doing this stuff. My two favorites are:

Because they do center on the falls but use the falls to bring you into the rest of the photograph.

What lenses are you looking at? I can recommend the 85mm f1.8 as a great lens.

I'd have to agree with your comments about waterfalls being "overdone". They're still fun to shoot, and look at. I stumbled across your galleries while researching different results for various canon lenses, and I'm not done looking at your galleries yet. Excellent work. Votes for a number of pics.
