Death Valley is home to dozens of amazing day hiking trails. This is the trail head to one of the neater ones IMO, the Natural Arch. It has been carved by violent rain falls in the past 10,000+ years. These rains have created a canyon with amazingly subdued colors and forms including some amazing polished marble trails. This shot was taken about 2 hours after Sun Rise while this side of the mountain was still in shade. It shows a patch of the wild flowers that graced the Canyon Floor.
Another great hike is Mosaic Canyon located near the Sand Dunes. In 50,000 years, this canyon might resemble the famous Antelope Canyon but made from Marble and not sand stone. If you do the hike, stay to the right if you have a branch.
