The Sand Dunes are the other Major draw to Death Valley made famous by Ansel Adams' Sand Dunes shot: http://www.hctc.commnet.edu/artmuseum/anseladams/details/sanddunes.html . The rest of us simply go and see what we can make of them. They were much smaller than I expected them to be (My guess would be 1/8 the size of the ones in Colorado) and the recent rains had bleached some of their colors as well as added lots of humidity to the air. This image is a bit over baked but I liked it anyway:-)

You will see at the very top of this image a very very small pale white cloud. This is the only cloud I saw in 4 days.
