Bye Bye Woolies

Aberdeen

Today an old faithful announced it was going to be no more,
and I had a run in with security again, when it was pointed out to me by a couple of burlies
that I needed "management permission" to take a picture of Woolworths!!
What is this country coming to? I think I need to study some UK phographic law.
Anybody know any good websites for info on this?

What did they think you were going to do with the picture?! O_o

Hi Stewart, I had a similar problem when I was taking a shot of 'Thompsons', talk about a fuss and palaver - Let me know it you find out anything. You almost feel like a 'weirdo' carrying a camera these days.!! ... What a sad reflection of our world now. Have a great evening.

telling you to stop taking pics was probably their highlight of the day! ;-)

I bought an advent calendar from Woolies, when I got it home I found the windows boarded up and nothing inside :-(

Good shot - works very well in B&W which highlights the news breaking aspect of the pic.

Goodness! Management permission : isn't that a tall order when they're about to close?
