The ride started in Sisters, a small town in central Oregon. Schedule dictated that participants register there the day before the ride started, and camp overnight before hopping on the bikes. My brother and I arrived early in the afternoon, and were greeted by the entertainment that had already begun on the Main Stage. Thinking we were in for some fun, we uncorked a bottle of wine. We pitched our tent on the lawn of one of the cabins at the new Five Pine Lodge, which looks to be a nice place. Had we any brains at all, we'd have booked one of those cabins rather than sleeping in a tent.
