We hiked about 15 miles round trip from the Tenaya Lake trailhead on the Tioga Road to Clouds Rest, which is the next peak north of Half Dome and is higher. This was mostly a moderate hike with only one section of some steep elevation gain in the middle, and then of course the knife edge ridge to the summit. The views took our breath away. This is a fabulous hike, and much less crowded than Half Dome.
