Wanda08_28_04.jpg

This was an interesting photo to take. It was all about her eyes. I was standing on a ladder and shooting just about straight down. Wanda was looking up with her head tipped back just far enough so she still had to look up at me. This gave that little bit of white below her nice blue iris. We had a black sheet on the floor. One light was on a boom bounced into a silver umbrella above her and just to her right. We had another light on a stand behind her bounced off an umbrella to light her hair. That umbrella had the bottom half covered by a piece of black cardboard to keep light from spilling onto the the black sheet. There were two reflectors. I used one just in front and below her face to fill shadows under her chin and nose. The other reflector was just to her left to bounce some of the hair light back into the left side of her face and hair. Overall I think it turned out OK.

I recall the pose for this picture was My idea. I had seen some other photos where the woman was looking UP at the camera and thought they were quite pretty. I believe Jeanne has one in her gallery and so does Mindi. Anyway, the image turned out "OK" but not as nice as I had hoped. I should have worn a bra that "smooshed" My boobies together which would have created better cleavage.

Lovely picture Guys and a bit more than just OK, Bill. Wanda, fascinating info on the smirk/blink/smile, which would only be picked up with prolific portraiture, I wonder how common, or not, this is?

What a lovely pair....of eyes. Seriously, I wish I had one tenth of your ability. I must admit, If I had been taking the picture I would probably have fallen off the ladder :-)

An answer for Gary: Wanda here, typing on Bill's account. Oh the ever famous "smirk", you just have to know Me to really know what that smirk says. (slight wiggle of an eyebrow coupled with a flirtatious grin)..... Actually, we have learned something about My face from all this picture taking. Apparantly, the left side of My face is faster than the right side!(laffin) If Bill catches Me in a blink, My left eye is always closed more than the right. It would appear that My mouth does the same thing, Bill snapped this picture just as I was beginning to smile.

There are days, I must admit that I have had enough of this project! However, I agreed to this project and I am the kind of person that doesn't like to let anyone down, especially My dear hubby. Thanks for your kind comments. Words of encouragement are appreciated and make it easier to keep on going!

A question for Wanda... How are you holding up girl? You seemed to have a slight smirkiness to the left side of your lips as if to say, here goes another one. This has got to be trying at times, and you are to be commended for your awesome efforts...
