Wanda08_10_04.jpg

This could have been an out take. It certainly wasn't what we had planned. Wanda was just flipping her hair off her shoulders as I clicked a few in continuous mode. The other shots I had taken this evening all felt a little stiff and too posed. The more I looked at this one the more I liked this capture. Wanda has already turned in so I was left on my own to decide what to use.

One other thing I have to say, I love the Canon 70-200f/2.8 IS L lens. I like how sharp it is even when opened all the way up. What I really love is how nice and buttery smooth the background blur looks. Clutter in the background just disappears.

I've been looking at this picture and reading Bill's comment above. "The other shots I had taken this evening all felt a little stiff and too posed." This really is not one of My favorites, can't say why, I just know I don't like it. The *stiff and posed* problems occur when we are in a public place and onlookers are gawking. I feel like such a fool, it's so difficult to even begin to relax and produce a natural smile when I feel like I am making a spectacle of Myself. Guess I just need more practice ignoring what's going on around Me when the camera is pointed in My direction.

Hi Bill and Wanda. I only have one word to say Beautiful!!!! I really lucked up on is gallery from a post Bill made in a forum at DPreview.com but sure glad I did. Wanda you are a very beautiful lady and Bill you have a talent/eye other's dream of. You look like your having the best time with this and it shows in the work both of you are producing. Wanda you and Bill are going to have one he!!!! of a scrapbook to look back on one day and I'm sure both of you will be so glad you did this. Good luck in the voting and PLEASE keep them coming. Even though I only found this gallery a couple of days ago I'm already starting to look forward to seeing what the two of you have come up with for the PAD Gallery.

I love this picture....the light is fantastic. Wanda looks as pretty as any picture you have done, and it all looks so natural. The background, the color, and the moment you captured, all are wonderful. Not planned, but one of the best yet. Congrats to both of you.

Sometimes, the best shots, are the ones "not planned". Great photo....:)

Beautiful use of the natural light!

This image and yesterdays are so wonderful. Natural light really makes portraits appealing to my eyes. Yes, the 70-200 2.8 is just a phenomenal lense! I love the background blur on this lense as well as the 100-400L and 100mm 2.8 macro. Great shot Bill and Wanda!
