Wanda06_02_04.jpg

I got this idea while photographing some deer in my neighbors pasture last night. The light, just as the sun was sinking below the horizon, was amazing. The native wheat that is just beginning to dry lights up a nice golden yellow. I knew I needed to come back and get Wanda with her golden hair in that field.

This picture was taken with the 70-200f/2.8 IS L plus a Canon 1.4xII extender.

Here is a picture of one of the deer from last night http://www.pbase.com/image/29663079

I agree...this is a great shot. Lighting is special, and the composition is right on.

I do like this picture a lot, I think it reflects Me, just a simple country gal. I remember when Bill was taking these shots I was feeling a bit embarrassed because the neighborhood kids were watching and I could hear the them talking to each other, wondering outloud who I was and why was that man taking My pictures?

I do like this one, but I still prefer the one of her looking into the light in the glamor gallery.

This is a beautiful photo. One of your best images of Wanda yet. The colour and peaceful surrounds work well here. Glenda

To my mind, your most exceptional Wanda picture to date. I find models shot in a wider context are often more compelling - flattering the model exactly by taking the pressure off her visually to "deliver" the whole shot - and this is a prime example. The combination of the expansive setting, the implication of the lighting, and her own complex expression unify this into a transcendent whole, entirely suitable for framing and truly a work of art.

Excellent DOF and flawless composition, too. (The landscape orientation, of course, really adds to the "long moment" feel of the image.) Really just an incredible (and impeccable) knockout shot.

Love this picture dad! Mom looks beautiful. The colors and lighting are perfect.

Really wonderful inspiring shot ! Colours and light are stunning, as well as Wanda... To put us more in the mood, you should have "Fields of Gold" playing in background.

Serene picture of a wonderful Lady. Many thanks again William for sharing with us. We are gifted witnesses of your love for Wanda.

A wonderful shot of both the wheat and Wanda, she looks like a summer girl.
Well done.

The shot of the deer is nice but can't compare to the shot of the dear. Thank you for your continuing fine work.

Very cool, I like the link to the deer shot (but it didn't work, I had to copy and paste it in to the address bar to get there.)
Wanda looks great.
