I use a Moose Warming Polareser Filter. This really helps with color saturation. And some of it is pure luck. The cottonwoods were a very bright gold. Add late afternoon light and you get some pretty great colors.

i've never seen colors like that! may i ask how you achieve that kind of effect? did you use a polarisation filter or is saturation increased somehow afterwards?
really breathtaking!
