These two Cooper's Hawks are back nesting in one of my trees and making life interesting for us in a way that is predominantly not enjoyable. This particular mesquite tree is what they often use to eat their prey at- usually birds, but sometimes rats or ground squirrels or baby rabbits. Don't usually see both of them together not at their nest. I believe the larger one on the left is the female. We know have to walk around outside with a broom since the Hawks (mainly the male) swoop down at us and actually make contact, though not hard enough to make a scratch. More pictures to come....
