I'm just starting to shoot in NEF (RAW) format. The D80 allows the user to capture both a RAW and a JPEG image simultaneously. The smaller, inset picture is what the original JPEG looked like, to show you that I did screw up on exposure and white balance (and is very close to what the untouched RAW image looked like). The larger picture is the RAW image after going through Bibble Lite, a RAW conversion software program that I'm tying out. All I can say is, what a difference. I'm still trying to figure out the how and why of it all.
