Superb perspective and dof, leading our eyes and thoughts to the monk. It's interesting to see a smiling face and a touch of color in a supposedly solemn and sad environment. The contrast is great and so is the play with emotions.

Very good shot Kal. The leading lines provide an obvious path to the subject and it's there that the eyes lock. Have found myself staring for some time at this monk. Is a great moment he seems to be lost in - I am not sure what he is holding but he seems almost childlike while playfully drawing circles in the ground in front of him. This is beautifully done.

I love your point of view and the way you made the focus in this one.
I agree with Natisunber, this image, and the whole series are very beautiful and moving.

As your fisherman series, this one is a great well of beauty and emotions...
He's a single, but I don't feel him alone... he looks calm and smily as he is deep in lively thoughts, which creates an effective contrast with the surroundings, and add to the other contrast of the shot, created by the play of colours in an almost b&w set.
