Interesting how he uses the statue as a support to rest. Like all of us, he is as much part of history as is the person or event being personalized by the statue.

Hiding under the history? I see him as taking extra shade under a sculpture, no regard for its purpose or status. Call it practicality or complacency, whatever you think. That's how some of us in the modern world see the "importance" of history and value, be it political or educational. I also like how you included the biker, a working class or student, taking his own form of shade, and looking away. And you, the photographer, chose to crop off the sculpture too :-) Another interesting shot, Kal.
