Surreal and frightening. You make Shanghai seem to be a dangerous place. The blur suggests that the next blow will come with lightening speed.

He is so great... (make me think to a Bacon's painting!;)
Like the motion, very nice effect and great colours!

Didn't you think he might be a real martial art specialist and get upset by your insistance? ;)
It feel to me more like colors and Rock & Roll.

Impressions slipping from perception like a potter's glaze over an agitated surface. As moist mercurial hue shimmering nervously.Away from a moment that would rather not be known. From a corner where light's own thoughts would rather ponder undisturbed.

The background to the image Ray...it was a dark allyway except for this lit corner. The man was sitting. I tried to take a photo of him dejected...kind of contrasted to the colours around him...he saw me and stood up as I released the shutter. His head was missing!! But I like the effect...he looked like a martial artist going through his paces. So I walked away and came back about a minute later, knowing he would stand up again when he saw me...this time I was ready and had him framed for it....I have renamed the image "Martial Art" since I think it reflects my intent more. I like how the image is bathed in red, the Chinese colour for good luck and then there's the colour blue, symbol of wealth. The man's gesture does not seem particularly aggressive. Martial? Are you hinting at something?

Interesting movement and wonderful vivid colours. It works well with the subject.
