Nice portrait of the dancers, Kal.

A pair.Belonging together. From their beginning to end.Complementing one another like the notes and silences running through their musical score of this earthdance.Cuddled perfectly within the flicker of their own butter twilight. As two candles waxing into one another's arms. With a tender glow.

:)))

Thankyou Marisa, the intention was always to meet them. Until then they were anonymous to all. It is unfortunate that that anonymity appeared as a nightmare to you and others, I ofcourse, knowing them, could only see them.

This picture is a reconciliatory way to approach the dancers, they are out of a nightmare that probably was not their own, they were the involuntary actors of that. Now they are back to their nature of real people and they didn’t deserve to look scary, I think, They look serene in this very sensitive portraits.
Love that.

so..they were the dancers..Nice idea to show them face to face with the camrea.Your shot talk a lot about your way of thinking...I know,if i would be the photographer,i would ask the woman to step forward, and the man to be at the back....to show the female..as woman are more fragile..they are the one,who epress the dance, the movements more than man..........But of course:) u did opposite way.....But with this u turned your photo into an other dimension..now they are a couple...not dancers...they represent here the norma of the life..Man and Woman....

There's no way you are going to get it sharper at 1/6th of a second unless you have an image stabilized lens, which would give you the steadiness of a shot made at 1/30th of a second. Or a tripod, which I know you are not carrying around. Or flash, which would have destroyed the mood and feeling. The softness does not hurt the message at all. It will kill the pixel pushing technophobes who worship at the false altar of tack sharp pictures for their own sake. But why concern yourself with them. This is a very expressive portrait because it is alive with their energy.

Yes Phil, and all in planned and posed! I only wish it was sharper, but hey, that seems to be my signature tune! I am going to give it to them, they were very kind to let me in to their lives.

A wonderful portrait. They are more alive in this portrait than they were in your abstractions. Intimate, beautifully illuminated, and unselfconsciously posed.
