The extreme drought in Northern Georgia and the chief water source for millions of metropolitian Atlantans is Lake Lanier. Located just north of the city, the lake is in serious jeopardy of going dry soon.
This photo shows a water marker indicating where the water level used to be at the Old Federal Park Beach.
