Havr Island

Hvar Island is the largest of the Croatian isles. We got here early in the morning and took a bus ride along the old road that rises high up into the hills for beautiful views of the Adriatic and the surrounding area. Along the way you pass the miles and miles of stone irrigation and flood walls that were built without any kind of adhesive product (see picture below).

Hvar boasts a spectacular number of sunny days a year, and is recognized as one of the most beautiful islands in the world.
