Fortunately we visited Dubrovnik's Old Town in early March before the tourist season got fully underway. Given the number of people here at this time of year, it's hard to imagine what it will look like in a couple of months. This is a great walking town, with lots to see, including the Rector's Palace, a Franciscan Monastery. Lots of restaurants and little shops, and naturally, all geared towards the tourist.
Circumnavigating the city on the wall, was a definite highlight. You get beautiful views in just about every direction, including great views down into the Old Town area itself.
Also, the fort just outside the city walls, offers spectacular views into the old city, and the surrounding area.
