Bellaire Drive -When Are They Coming Home

Lakeview in New Orleans

Six and one half months after Hurricane Katrina.
This is half a block away from the break in the 17th Street Canal floodwall. I bet someone that the cypress trees would live. They are sprouting beautifully.
I photographed the rocker in an earlier PaD at http://www.pbase.com/image/55617954.

It is sad, as Carlos notes below.

A touch of sadness. I think this mage tells a full story. That chair, did you find it there? or seted up?

Adorable looking home. Hope they come back.

Gordon, all of our houses are now fixer-uppers. The hundreds of thousands of us who were flooded are rebuilding, not fixing up. Rebuilding and restoring.

It is such a big, solid house. What a shame to lay in ruin.

All I can say is, I pray for us all

New growth on the Cypress. Maybe that will call them back!

Still sad to see after all these months...people must be so tired of the waiting for something to happen.

I agree w/prior comment.

That is/was a fine looking house. Now a fixer upper.
