Ship and Tugboat in Mississippi River

Montz, Louisiana

About a month ago I was almost arrested when I attempted to take a photo of this ship near an oil refinery. Since 9/11 security is very tight and I should have realized that.
Perseverance paid off and I finally caught it in the middle of the River today. I think it is a foreign ship and was back in Louisiana for a refill. I was fascinated by the color. The little tugboat is escorting it. I find it amazing that such a little boat can be so powerful.
A closeup of a little tugboat can be seen at http://www.pbase.com/image/42386204. In fact, the little tug's picture is probably the better of the two, as usual.

A wonderful photo. That is a different color.

A nicer colour than black! They must have had the decorators in!

Yes, the lil tug is a great shot, but it doesn't compare with the sheer enormity of this one; this is GREAT! I wonder what the big deal was for snapping a shot of the ship?
Keep up the good work, but no 2 a.m. calls from the local PD, okay?

Great, you caught your ship. That is a most unusual color.

What a very powerful little machine, I also find it amazing how tugboats can control such a large vessel. Arrested??
Great shot Coleen

I like both photographs. I think you may be right, the Tug by itself is easier to look at. I think there is so much to see in the ship and tug photo. However, they are both good.

That is a nice color. I hope it wasn't where I work.
