Mississippi River in Louisiana Gallery

I was born and brought up in Louisiana near the banks of the Mississippi. It is a place of solace and beauty and sheer delight to me.
As a child I played on the batture, fishing in the ponds, picking blackberries, and dreaming the summers away in games with cousins. As an adult I sought the solace of the River in times of joy and sorrow. There is nothing more peaceful than watching the muddy water flow by and nothing more beautiful than a sunset on the Mighty Mississippi.
