Louisiana Shrimp

Perilloux Place

There are strict regulations set for fishing, crabbing, and shrimping in the coastal waters of southeast Louisiana since the BP oil gush some 90 days ago, so any seafood from the waters that are opened to fishermen are considered safe to eat and tested by the food industry.
These shrimp were harvested in Lake Pontchartrain. The oyster beds, according to the oyster farmers, are dead, even the seed oysters that would furnish the crop three years from now.
AS OF 3 P.M. TODAY, THURSDAY, BP SAYS THEY HAVE STOPPED THE OIL SPILL WITH THE CAP FOR NOW. I THINK I'LL HAVE ANOTHER PARTY TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recreational fishing is open now in almost all areas of louisiana now, except for a few areas where there is oil. its a shame about the oysters though.
