HAPPY BASTILLE DAY

Perilloux Place

The Perilloux Family is one of the First Families of Louisiana according to history books, with the first Perilloux coming from France, as a soldier fighting for France, to New Orleans in the early 1740's--Jacques Perilloux, my great-great-great-great grandfather. He never returned to France.
I could sing La Marseillaise" in French when I was four years old.
My mother was mostly of German heritage but her paternal grandmother was a DeNoyer from France. My mother spoke Parisian French fluently until the day she died.

There she is! Standing proud and for good reason. I like this portrait a lot, Coleen. it details who you are, along with your family heritage. And, I think it is technically done very well with wonderful light.

Your SP! Your history!!!

that would be your grandfather's grandfather's grandfather? I wonder what he would make of Louisiana today? :-)
Nice tribute to Bastille Day!
