In his mid 80's he still fits in his uniform that he wore in World War II with the First Marine Division. He fought in some of the most fierce battles of the Pacific; Pelilu, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa.
A recipient of two Purple Hearts, he proudly represents the Greatest Generation.
We have several young family members who died in the service of our county in our cemetery and Memorial Day is too hard to bear.
To him, and to all who have served and died for our freedom, I say THANK YOU. Lest we forget.
