01-APR-2004 Chris Brooker

1st April 2004

Fame at last.

When Charles Dickens wrote Nicholas Nickleby in 1838-39 he chose to call the character who would bring terrible news to Ralph Nickleby none other than…………Mr Brooker.
It is rather pleasing to think of my name coming from his pen.

Wow! You were famous before you were born. Did you know that Ian Chappell is a famous cricket player in Australia? Yep.

Perfect shot, Chris. And a wonderful idea. The clarity is amazing. And.. the book is a wonderful choice, btw.

So cool Chris! This put a smile on my face, and it's only 7:11 am!

Nice idea to use glasses instead of a lens :-)
Guest 01-Apr-2004 12:27
Nicely framed by the glasses, Chris!
I used to live in the same street as a woman with the same first and last name as me (my maiden name), and had started a job the same week as me as a nurse at the local hospital! OK, not famous but weird coincidence!
Ray :)01-Apr-2004 12:08
Got that wrong. He played for Scarborough and even played at Wembley in the 1975 FA Trophy final, albeit on the losing side!
Ray :)01-Apr-2004 12:03
Did you know a Ray Pettit plays for Scunthorpe Town football club? Such dizzy heights....

Little did you know you would be so famous, Mr Brooker, sir.
Clever capture

Nice image. The simplicity and old timeyness is very cool.
