The Taxi Drivers

CUBA

They are the eyes, ears and mouth of the modern day Cuban society. The educators of the tourists. The chosen occupation of many professionals such as teachers, doctors and other university graduates. Still allowed to operate as a business owner, but taxed heavily.

Fabulous light and a wonderful capture. A picture is worth a thousand words and this can be looked at as more than one picture. The obvious - the 1956 Chevy still in everyday use, the gathering of drivers, the tropical climate and palm trees and off in the distance signs of modernity in the buildings. ~BV~
