I woke up early this morning and found this leaf hopper foraging in my mint garden. I decided to experiment with flash and ambient light on the Pentax K100D, so that the illuminated hopper would not appear to be photographed at night (showing only a black background). Thus, I set the shutter speed at 1/45s (for ambient light) and the AP @ 16 (to balance off flash output and DOF)and the result is what you see. I hope you enjoy.
