The hook shape at the tip seems to be pronounced for a crochet hook or a button hook
So I am thinking maybe something to do with fishing;

I would have suggested it's a hook of some sort for needlework etc., but the line down the left side makes me question that. Excellent tones and another excellent 'abstract'.
