Lansing Bridge and upstream

Upon starting upstream you pass under the Lansing bridge after about a mile or so. This first mile gives you time to get used to handling the houseboat. The bridge has a rather unique construction and is high enough to allow very large barges to pass under. There are frequent channel markers (red on the right going up-stream.
