Abby, From Cheyenne Wyoming. My Mom & I where on the way home from Art Camp today, and found a prayingMantus climbing up the side of a building. We got a bag and brought it home to put in our garden. What exactly do they eat? It is very beautiful.

I watched a female eat her mate today--the only thing left were a pile of guts on a leave. They looked like tiny human guts; stomach and intestines.

hey i actually have a praying mantus and i'd like to keep him or her, im not sure.... but i don't know what they eat. does anyone have any idea? i thought it was problly just leaves and such but i want to be sure....

I live in San Francisco and have a small enclosed city garden. About two days ago I realized that I have a white prayingmantus that comes out every time I water this one particular plant. Does anyone know if they are supposed to bring good luck or if there is any sort of folklore attached to them?

I am interested in buying a prayingmantus for my granddaughter who is very interested in insects, in particular the prayingmantus any ideas or suggestions where I can buy one?

Love your pics. Very close and sharp. We have 7 living in our yard in Ohio. Three are pregnant! Very special to see. Do you have any of pregnant mantus?
