We hawe have many "wild" on our plumeria trees. Many are pregnant and yesterday I saw a couple mating. Couldn't stick around to see if the female ate the male after, as they often do. They eat live moths, only things that are moving. We hand feed them moths and the are strong in a gentle way when they take the food from you. It takes a few minutes, sometimes longer for them to take the food from us. When you water your plants and they come out I'm pretty sure that is to make sure they don't get washed away. They can fly and the wings are beautiful..
They are not pets.
