For the kid in you :-) To see the twinkling make sure that "original" is active below and WAIT(!) until the full animation has downloaded. If you are using a dial-up connection this can take a looong time. In that case switch to a smaller version by clicking "previous" at above right. Diffraction spikes added in post-processing. This image was taken as a follow-up on a study I did regarding what filters to use when you have high light pollution.
