1995 Sam_C

Compassion

Here's a shot from 1995. Dad lovingly feeds
our then 91 year old grandmother, his mother,
who has since passed away.

In Thai culture, people tend to take care of
elderly and sick family members till the very
end, no matter how difficult it may be. Nursing
homes are largely unheard of.

Now, today, some 14 plus years later, dad is older
and dealing with his own health issues. Although he
is ok and manages do things by himself, we are looking
out for dad in the same way he did for his mother.

You tell such a beautiful story of not only your family but of all families. Or at least the way all families should be. This is amazing work, sam. ~V~

A great shot and even more whith the touching history and memory! The cycle of time (and love) BUT often the occidental culture consider this issue differently, alas :^)
