Based on the info I have gleaned, this was Number 3 Skidder, the same one that was recently moved from Camp 6 Museum to Roots of Motive Power Museum in California. Carl McGinnis, who later succeeded my father, Charlie Pike, as Superintendent at Vail, worked on the crew of this machine.
