This big Berger combination yarder/loader logged in the big timber out of Randle/Packwood for many years.
Pacific Lumber and Shipping owned the rig and yarded corners, salvage sales, etc with it- usually had a Prentice 600
hydraulic log loader working with it.
The boom is detached and off the machine here at the 1998 PLS auction at Randle. Scrappers bought her for peanuts....
You can see the big Berger builder's plate near the base of the boom. Boom, carrier, and shovel had seperate plates.
