This 'Model 227W' highlead yarder is the bigger-brother of the 127W- a fast, quiet, large-capacity highlead hoist.
While the 127W and 227W were both available with or without the elevated enclosed cabs (as most yarders were), it seems strange
to see one without it. This machine is sled-mounted and was still working with wooden rigged trees in the late 60' when seen here.
Lots of these machines were sold overseas for tropical hardwood logging.
