July 31: Doing the Dew

Rancho Bernardo, CA

Due to my commitment to rotate lenses for the week, today I am now demonstrating the Quantaray f/2.8 Macro, which to paraphrase Liza, “is not the sharpest tack in the box.”

I think the bottom version is more appealing aesthetically, however I am posting the top one to illustrate the macro level.

Canon EOS 5D ,Sigma 50mm f/2.8 EX Macro
1/125s f/16.0 at 50.0mm iso400 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

This is one of my favorites. Just really neat.

Terrific macro.

The top one is my preference. Great macro. The tension of the water suspension on the web outdoes the balance of the circle. Hands down!

Yep, I appreciate the AF look in the top one.

Very nice macro shot. I find it much more interesting than the bottom shot.

Oh very cool. It might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but it sliced through this task pretty well. It has a slightly creepy look to it.

From the thumbnail, I thought they were glass baubles. But, they are lovely droplets.--Rene

Great shot Robin! It is really not the lens, but the person behind the lens that counts the most. Too bad no spider in this shot ;o)

I'll take the top one - it appeals to my A/F side! LOL Seriously, it's a great abstarct.
