July 29: Watering the Agapanthus

Rancho Bernardo, CA

As ***promised*** last week I am using a different lens each day. Today is a mild detour, since I decided I needed to try out the macro end of my 100mm which I also used at a distance yesterday. I discovered I have a lot to learn about macro photography.

Canon EOS 5D ,Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM
1/400s f/5.6 at 100.0mm iso400 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

My previous comment was not intended to mean this image lacked anything. Just trying to encourage more and more macros... :-)

Good effort -- keep practicing because everyone says that lens gets amazing results. There's a whole miniature world out there waiting for you!

Well, it isn't exactly macro photography per se, but its a wonderful shot with all that dancing water.

I agree with Pepe, first thing you got to learn is not to get your macro lens soaked, lol ;o)
Excellent shot Robin, reminds me when I was a child playing under the monsoon rain in the Philippines.

I like how you caught the sideways splashes of the man-made rain . . . shouldn't your macro have zoomed in on one of those drops? You're keeping up with my flower shots . . now how about food =)

What you need is to turn off your sprinklers! It's raining! :^)
