November 21: From the Camera to the Wall

Rancho Bernardo, CA

These three images are from my trip to Arizona last March ** See gallery here **.
They were printed using the **giclee method** and I finally got them stretched and framed this week.
To get an idea of the dimensions the top image of Superstition Mountain is 40 inches wide.

Now I have to decided where to hang them.

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6
1/3s f/11.0 at 18.0mm iso400 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Whoa Robin, these are beautiful, they are going to look great, I just can't believe you would have this done without a clue to where you want to hang them, I bet you knew all along. :-)

Gicle prints on canvas is a nice technology. I had some done recently for someone who wanted a photo transformed in oilpaint style. I did that in PS and told him to get this printed on canvas in giclee technique and it made a hughe final that is quite hard to identifie as a photo on first view. I can understand that you have printed those stunning shots you show here in that system.

These are beautiful, Robin. I can only imagine what they look like on canvas.

Yes Russ. The printing is on canvas. Makes for a nice texture.

Great images, I guess I will have to invite myself for a cup of coffee at your place to see them on the wall.

These look beautiful Robin. You were right to tell us dimensions -- I never would have guessed that they were so large. I've been intrigued by Giclee but never knew it was a process for digital. Thanks for sharing this.

These look fabulous Robin. Just went thru your journey and am impressed with all the learning that went on. A great experience! Hope you'll show them later when they're hung.

Interesting process Robin. I have bookmarked your link for when I can spend more time. Those are beautiful shots of Arizona

Gary... around $220 for the stretching. About 300 for the printing (all three)

ohhh... that's awesome!

That's going to be great, Robin. Tell me, will your next SP be with just one arm, or just one leg? These look very expensive!
