October 8: Bomb Scare!

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Yesterday when I arrived at the Luis Munoz Marin International in San Juan, there was a major bomb scare that caused the evacuation of the airport. I joined hundreds of people milling around like cattle outside the terminal for a seemingly interminable time. Standing there while sweating like a pig (if I am allowed to mix my metaphors) I guiltily snapped off a few shots of the scene.
The good news is that there was no bomb and although delayed I caught my flight home to San Diego.

Milling cows, sweating pigs. Must have been quite a zoo over there!

LOL! @ Russ . . . good thing HE'd get there to bail you out . . .I'd have to wait till they sounded the all clear!

Well, that's gotta suck! It's a good thing you don't look like a terrorist, 'cause I don't know how long it would have taken me to get down there to bail you out! LOL

See ya' back on the state side!

I'm glad things went well for you, Robin. I like this-her pigtail seems out of place with the uniform and she looks like she is in a zone of hyper-sensitivity. Welcome home.

A bit of excitement and then safe home with no-one hurt. What more could you ask for?

You framed this picture just perfect and captured her worried expression.
Welcome back!

Like the others say, the capture and framing really couldn't be better. Gets a vote.

A super capture Robin. Obviously she was far too preoccupied to even notice you. Glad everything went OK. I was caught up in an evacuation at Heathrow a year or so back, but that was a fire alert.
