We are now traveling by SUV for the rest of the trip, and today departed from the Bay Area following Interstate 5 up through the San Jocquin Valley through Redding to Mount Shasta.

I have more “beautiful” images; however I am posting this field of grain and the silos as being the most representative of the journey through hundreds of miles of fields which contain of a very wide variety of crops.

Note the slight blur near the fence…we were doing about 75 mph at the time, and I was riding shotgun in the front seat snapping this off with a quick roll down of the window.

Tomorrow Crater Lake and then Sun River, Oregon.
