Sep 5: That's Two!

My week-long experiment of using only my macro lens taught me a lot.
1) There was much more flexibility than I realized.
2) I could use a better “L” lens.
3) Duh! You can take regular ‘long distance’ images with a macro lens.
4) I prefer to jazz up a macro image with a format that has pizzazz!
5) Lighting is tougher.
6) A tripod is a must.
7) I’m glad I’m doing this “lens a week series” – I am learning a great deal.

This week I’ll try my wide-angle lens for seven days. I’ll perhaps wait one day, because I’m going to a Padre game today with my f/2.8 70-200 ‘L’ lens and 2x extender.

* For those of you who are Scrabble aficionados here is technical note regarding the last ‘P’ in the word “Photoshop.” I had to Photoshop it, because I had used up my legitimate allotment.

Canon EOS 10D ,Quantaray f/2.8 50mm Macro
1s f/22.0 at 50.0mm iso200 full exif

Scrabble is my game... I love it and have spent some time in a scrabble rehab. This photo is wondrously clever. I like it very much. Sex really does sell.
