September 4: A Study of Morning Light

My back yard

Giddy after two crazy PaDs, I committed myself this morning to do some serious work with my macro lens. With the September sun just rising above my tree line, I ventured out to my yard.
Here is my study of morning light.

All images were Macro shots. full exif

Yes Lisa, the background was taken with the same lens at the about the same time. I inverted it and then did a fade with a white layer underneath.

Nice images, Robin. I like the mask looking
background that you used. Was that a photo from
the morning too? My fave is the lower left. I like
the blue in the sky with the photo. Keep up the wonderful
work!

Beautiful, all of them. I especially like the play of light and shadow in the one on the upper left, and the fine detail on the snail shell.

You're on a creative roll! Nice assortment of shots!

Btw - I don't see any of my body parts in today's Pad...phew!!!! ;)

(Don't put the giddy to far away, it sure is fun for us, too!)
Nice way to show off 5 great photos. My fave is the lower left.

Pretty cool, Robin, and since you're having so much fun with that macro lens, why not come up with something for the current DPChallenge theme: backlighting. You could surely get a cool backlit leaf in your backyard, no?

Good job with these images...

Love the arrangement of your photos. Nice examples using your lens!

Nice. Did you step on the snail after you photographed it?

Good tests, and concerning the september sun, we just get the temperatures now here we missed the whole summer. One more reason to relax and not work too much at the moment.

Serious or funny Pad? Tough choice... I like both. I feel BETTER as a photographer when I'm serious w/o any significant tweaking in PS.
On the other hand I love demonstrating my PS skills and I go crazy with ideas...most of which never make it to Pbase (thank goodness!).

Very nice, Robin. I love the images and the background is really effective.

Great images you are getting with that lens, and I wonder, what do you prefer to do serious pad or crazy pad?
