July 13: Coming Ashore

I spent part of the day on Casco Bay (Portland, ME) on a mailboat/ferry doing some sightseeing. The young crew worked quite hard, and here is one "sailor" throwing the line to the pier.
There is no editing program on this hotel "Business Center" computer. I think the image is too dark, which I'll have to fix when I get home. And that will be tomorrow (Wednesday) as I take Delta back to the sunshine.

At first glance, it's an action photo, which I like. Then I find a "second reading" with the woman on the dock. It becomes a story photo, even if the two people in it don't know each other. Good one!

Can feel the rocking boat now. Looks like he ties a pretty fair knot. Agree, no further need for processing. The softness goes well with the implied greyness of the day.
