July 11: Mount Washington
Jackson, NH
I may post a different image later. I am just showing off. This is Mt. Washinton from Sue’s deck taken with my L lens extended x2. See http://www.pbase.com/image/31205418 for unzoomed version taken at the same time.
Sue is off at church (probably praying for me), and we will meet for brunch at the Eagle Mountain House in 30 minutes.
The good news the rain stopped.
Mt. Washington is the highest point in the Northeast. It is infamous for having horrendous weather on top. Gale force winds at the summit are the highest ever recorded in the World 231mph, 1931, highest recorded windspeed on Earth. (Thanks for the detail brother Mark)
