June 14: Beauty at the RB Inn

Rancho Bernardo Inn

I had lunch today outside on the Veranda at the beautiful Rancho Bernardo Inn. This westward view includes a new old friend, Karen.

We had met over 10 years ago as she was leaving the Organizational Development field for the law. Now she’s back and ready to reclaim her involvement in working on systems change in organizations.

As we consultants like to say, it was fun to “reconnect” and to “do lunch.” ;-). Karen shares my interest in photography. Now if I could just get her to throw away that old film-based Nikon. ;-).

An old newspaper person like myself appreciates "an old Nikon". Smart and pretty lady.

Very nice portrait!

The only reason to throw away an old Nikon is when it's broken and not working anymore.

Well at least she has a NIKON!!! Yea Karen!!!

What a wonderful day, to have lunch at this beautiful place AND meet up with an old friend, but man, she is in the dinosaur days yet if she is not digital, LOL. Let her use your camera, she'll change, guaranteed.

Wow, not your run of the mill holiday Inn... Such a peaceful scene.
Show her your pictures (well, maybe not yesterday's) and I'll bet she won't be long to convert.

What a beautiful scenic view! The golf course, and homes, are nice, too. ;)

Always a lovely lady around...

I'd leave her be on the film - I've started entertaining the notion of going back. Just for fun, understand.

Lovely shot! And the background is so beautiful it almost looks fake!

Such an elegant woman uses a Nikon? Oh, yeah Robin, save her.

Very nice photo of a pretty lady and a great background. Film? What's that?

Nice photo, Robin. May one assume that you have recovered from your green malady? If not, your lunch companion must have been very understanding.
Not go digital?!

very nice. Good story and good pic. I am always intrigued when someone tells me that they are going to buy a film SLR... I like to hear the reasons people still shoot with film. I assume they know something that I don't.

Nice composition, how can anybody not do Digital?
