June 7: Figuring It Out

Rancho Bernardo, CA

My friend Don Davis, who used to run a sizeable landscaping business, is devoting some of his considerable talents to helping create an automatic watering system for a tiny 20 square foot patch in front of my house holding agapanthus. Here he is drawing a diagram and listing the needed parts. His wife, Lynn, planted them 3 weeks ago. See http://www.pbase.com/image/28938277

My gardening experience and skills are zilch, so I am very thankful for this terrific help.

If you water does that mean you have to cut the grass or weed?? Rocks for a front yard look pretty appealing in August in these parts. You do have great friends.

OMG, Robin! It's 20 sq. feet! LOL I know, I know...too busy with the more important things, like shooting nice pics. :) Hey, I love the pic of you on the counter here! Is this in actuality a way of sneaking in an s/p???

LOL Bruce. I put photography ahead of watering. I put most things ahead of watering. I don't water. :-0

Great friend you have there. And what's wrong with you that you can't water a 20 sq. ft. patch "manually"??? :)
