Old News

Rancho Bernardo, CA

Newspaper’s are so yesterday! I’ve dropped my subscriptions and garner most of my news on the Internet (NY Times, LA Times, The Daily Best.) I also watch MSNBC and PBS. Finally I spend a very few minutes watching any local TV station as they fill me in with all the blood and guts being spilled around town.

What do you do about getting the “news?”

I do almost exactly the same as you... however I throw in the Drudge Report, BBC News, and Google News.

Very creative. I get my news from various sources, including the 'net.

But laptop screens don't absorb much in the way of birdshit
or cat urine last time I checked.

Well, I stay away from some of the news programs because they are so biased...I try to tune into ones that show both sides of the story....hard to find anymore. But, mostly, I get mine on the net!

I wonder where they're going to put them, I hear CA is looking for another Federal Facility ;o) -BJ I'm still looking for a responsible NEWS organization not one-sided story telling or filtering organization, both sides are very guilty these days. -BJ

I hold the newspaper in my hand. Being an "old-time" journalist, I still like the feel of it and the smell of it.

I certainly don't watch the local TV News, it's got to be some of the worst in the country, especially Channel 51. LOL.
Like you I get most of my news from the internet, I download the german news via podcast daily and we still get the L.A. Times.

Yesterday, today, or tomorrow, it really doesn't matter much to me now. All forms of mainstream media are painting their one sided pretty picture.

I don't see myself taking the laptop to the bathroom :^)
