Hitting the Books

Rancho Bernardo, CA

Two photography books arrived today in one fell swoop: Scott Kelby’s new Adobe Photoshop CS4 for Digital Photographers, and a basic textbook for class by London, Stone, and Upton called, of all things, Photography.

I was able to read my class assignment (history of photography) and sample some pages in Kelby’s book. However, one of my goals for this month is to finish two non-photo books. I tend to push them aside. Thus I will return to Jon Meacham’s Franklin and Winston after I post this.

maybe, in honor of Edwin Newman's 90th birthday today, we should all read "Strictly Speaking" =)))

I agree with Cooper . . . you should start your OWN PS tour for tutorials =)

My copy of this arrived today too and I've already used it to tweak settings in Bridge and set up my second monitor for full screen previewing. It's also been a great reminder about grouping sets of shots used for HDR and panos.
So often these books are as much for rebooting our memory as they are for teaching new stuff. :)

Well you have seven days to finish both, but it looks like you're already very far into this one.
